Last night i felt like going up to the speed limiter in my v6, and from reading the board i saw it was suppose to be 111mph. It went to about 115/116 and just stayed there on mine. Anyone else hit it?

 

I think it's supposed to 118 mph?

this one says 111. You would be the first to tell me it was 118, which mine did not do

 

I think the tires are rated to 118 mph and the car is limited to 111 mph. But when I topped mine out, it also went to about 115 mph.

 

Just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with mine
kind of off topic, but has anyone taken there v6 past the stock limiter (with an sct tune or equivalent)

 

havent even got mine over 90 yet. no room on these roads. but i thought i read some where it was set at 113mph. probably wrong though.

I went to 115 the other night and there was no limit. I was going to go until i hit the limit but i ran out of room.

 

at speeds that high the speedometer is very inaccurate! the limiter will only allow 111mph if thats what it is set to...if you didnt hit the limiter you werent goin that fast!

 

innacurate maybe, "very" innacurate i dont think so. When i was at the track i was goin through the ¼ at just under 90mph on my speedo, and my official times were 88.2 and 89.1

 

thats not 115-118 the error % grows as the number gets higher...and at a track the trap speed isnt the highest speed reached it is the average speed over the end section of track so if the speed was 89 that was the average so higher and lower then that so ur 90 mph speedo is more off then you initially thought anyway!

 

I know its the average speed over the end section, but the end section is very short in length. So the Trap speed would only be off maybe half a mile an hour.
