I have an 05 with a shaker 500, I really don't want to lose the stock look but am so sick of the radio adapter. I was at a junkyard and saw an 07, so I took out the aux port from the console with about 1ft of its connecting wire. I was there for something else and didn't have time to trace it back, but I figured I might be able to add wiring to it and fit it into my shaker500 that has the aux button but not the actual port. In this post, I think if I understand it correctly, I can just connect the correct wires into the C290A connector, as I am assuming that the C290A connects to the radio and that those wires are just unused in my current mustang. Is that right? It is hard because I just find a lot of old posts about adapters or contraptions that no longer exist, and all the links are dead. If I am wrong about this, I would appreciate any modern working solutions. I see online that some companies sell bluetooth-modded shaker500s but I can't find any DIY ways to add bluetooth.


To be clear, the piece I grabbed from the junkyard c3312 from the above link. I have about a foot of it's connecting wire, as I snipped it before it got to the main harness.

 

The Sjb in The 05/06 is Wired Different Than The 07. Its a Bit More Complicated Than We Thought Back in 08.
