Hey everyone I'm restoring a '69 couple it has a 351C bored out and the heads have been shaved. I'm curious to know what people think would be the best sounding headers for it.

hard to beat hooker .. but if you plan to run a full exhaust the choice of mufflers will affect the sound more than the choice of headers ..do you have the 4 barrel engine or the 2 barrel ? .. you need to know to get the correct header .. 4 barrel engines have much larger exhaust ports .. the 4 barrel heads will actually have a 4v stamped on the end if i remember correctly .. .. it`s your car and of coarse your choice but if i were to do a coupe i would make it in a california special clone even though they were`nt available in 69 it would still be a good look ..spoilers / tbird tail lites ... google up a 68 california special .. good looking coupe ...

collector size wont matter much unless you plan on class drag racing with open headers where 5 or 10 horsepower is at a premium .. 3 inch is about the standard collector size .. put on some hookers with some borla mufflers and you will love it ..

You can go with any major brand headers, go with 1 3/4" primary tubes for more off the line torq or 1 7/8" primary tubes for more top end HP.
I would recommend ceramic coated if you have the cash for it!
And as stated above mufflers will affect the sound the most.
As well as the choice between a H pipe or an X pipe will affect sound a lot as well.
