Projector Headlamps

I am considering installing, or having installed, projector headlamps on my 2007 GT. I would like as much info as possible on these, so I cam make a intelligent decision as to which headlights to buy. Any info would be appreciated.

Have been looking at the Raxiom 2010 style on AM. Does anyone have any experience with these?

they look really nice. Seem to have great reviews on AM. I don't have experience as I'm guessing you don't either with headlights. But just read as many reviews as possible and make your choice. Those Raxiom ones you posted seem like a good choice.

I've been reading a lot about the Raxiom ones and from what I have read they seem to be pretty decent. A few different styles to choose from. Pretty easy to replace them yourself if you choose to get them. I'm still debating on replacing the headlights and fogs.

I've been checking several forums on the projector headlights, and there seems to be a lot of junk out there. When I decide, I will probably add HID blubs as most seem to complain about a lack of visibility after installing them.

After 100k miles and living in Philly for 8 years, my front end is in less than desirable shape and I plan on having the bumper and lights replaced so I will be looking for new lights as well. I have to say, overall I've been rather unimpressed with the Raxiom lights. I'm thinking of using HIDguy to get my lights. They offer high quality low and high-beams as well as fogs. I want something that is gonna be nice and bright as well as durable and after doing some research I think they fit the bill for myself. But I'm not planning on doing this til next year so I have some time to acquire what I need as well as get other people's opinions on what they like/dislike

StangMods has a nice setup with the HID already installed. The price is a little stiff, but you usually get what you pay for.

Doesn't HID guy offer warranty for the raxiom headlights if you buy with an HID kit? Whereas with AM they say it voids the raxiom warranty if you use an HID kit?

The "HID Guy" appears to be a fraud according to some who have done business with him. I'd be very careful about doing business with that person/company. Here's what others have to say:

For projectors I'd stick with the Raxiom ones, at least they are somewhat reputable manufacturer. (Disclosure: I think they are butt ugly and I wouldn't put them on my car)

I just got mine today, waiting for the new H9 bulbs from ddmtuning and white led bulbs to replace the parking light bulbs.

Which by the way, spread the word since I couldn't find but one answer online.....the parking light bulb in the 2010 style Raxiom headlights for the 05-09 is definitively a G18 bulb. The only answer I found online was 1156 and apparently that's compatible with 1156 bulbs which I ordered.

You got the Raxiom ones? If so, will you post pix when done?

Let me clarify my above comment: I think they are butt ugly on all 'Stangs except for yours!

They did, however I had to go help my buddy build some pvc rod holders for his boat and we got some reason anyways.

I installed them and had some rotational alignment issues and a problem with one of the adjusters. I'm going to return them for a refund and get the gen 5 tails instead. Maybe do a legit retrofit during winter with a spare set of stock headlights.

For the record I have nothing but confidence in Americanmuscle.com and I'm sure they'll make good right. I maybe just got bad pair is all. I would advise anyone thinking about buying a pair to do so as they look good in office but installed, they look absolutely AWESOME! Don't think, buy. Lol

I didn't really want to as I thought it would unjustly give a false evidence to the eyes of some that they're not good quality units. The passenger side was fine, though people need to also keep in mind these aren't morimoto projectors, the cutoff isn't CRISP as the morimoto projectors but they're certainly no slouch either. For new sexy looking housings AND projectors, you can't go wrong. I just got a lemon is all. No ill will here.

I will say that with the gen 5 tails, I wish the outer rings flagged with the signals instead of the inner section. THAT should be crazy cool
