No factory navigation - no problem Pioneer to rescue.
Decided I really wanted the in dash navigation and the great sounding stereo and all the bells and whistles that came with a Pioneer 8100 NEX and a Scosche install kit and a backup camera. So out came the checkbook. Found a great installer - had a few bugs along the way but he got it all working great. Here are some pics - I would highly recommend this to anyone. Sounds great, works great and looks stock.
Looking forward to working with the Android Play as well as the car play - this unit has more things than I can ever use in a lifetime I think LOL.
BEFORE
a bit of a shadow but as you can see very small.
with the Pioneer you can change the lines - I have it set for one foot - red and 3 feet green. It is an infrared camera as well.
replaced the original screen all yucked up with ceramic acrylic pre-tinted plexi-glass - fit perfect and looks and cleans great. No more mess

Here is a safer and better solution. Go to this website: Cast Acrylic - Transparent Colors : TAP Plastics I bought this size 1/8" thick X 2" wide X 7 5/16" long. The color I bought was called transparent solar gray but it looks like that has changed to transparent smoke. I think I paid $24 shipped. I ended up getting Ford to cover mine under warranty before I had to install my replacement screen but I'm keeping mine in case this new one messes up. If you need yours replaced, try using Ford's Special Service Message #44226 at the dealer to see if you can get it fixed under warranty. Wayne
From a different forum. Exactly the right size. Hope this helps.
