Are you sure you shouldn't stick to the V6?

I am sure you are wanting me to comment on the V-6 crack, but I don't see the distinction of not sewing = V6. You will have to enlighten me, then maybe I will spar with you some more to pass the time till my **** car gets built and I can go out and bang through six gears and have some real fun! I am finding this whole process frustrating...

Come on guys, lets not be too mean.

I think we are all getting a bit crazy waiting. I know I am. Just try not to get defensive so quickly. Some guys like to play rough, but are really much nicer than you think. Keep in mind that many of us guys get put through heck by some of the things that girls do to us, but that does not mean that we should take it out on you. But a lot of the rough stuff really does not mean anything. I do not usually generalize, but while girls often think before they speak, some guys do not always seem to. I know I can be too blunt sometimes.

I try not to post too many things here that would offend my mom, because she is a soon to be mustang owner, too.

I'm quite certain no one has been mean to anyone at all. Most women that commented on the thread were spot on, and sound like laid back and all around awesome gals. Then there is always one that sees a history book and says "That's sexist! Why not HERstory!" If someone is really so incredibly hypersensitive and insecure, it is totally ok to poke at them with a stick a little, at least in my book.

Anywho! I think that Lava Red has an amazing interior. Not so sure about the exterior color, but then again, I'm partial to my race red...

I will actually back you up some what on this. I didn't think you were being mean to the women, I thought you were being mean to the guys that ordered V-6's. I don't judge all men based on any experiences that I have had in my personal life, and I don't think most people do. I grew up with mostly all male friends. I love guys and I get them. I would prefer to spend my time with guys mostly because you ALWAYS know where you stand with them, women... not so much. My comment originally was just to point out the the reverse is ridiculous, just as the original statement was. Of course I can handle the 5.0 or I wouldn't have ordered it. I test drove the V-6 and it didn't do it for me. Not everyone is comfortable with that much power and its a personal thing to be sure.

You know, you're actually a pretty extraordinary chick. Most girls will not be comfortable with the ~440hp 5.0, and will instead choose the V6. That's a statistical fact. By nature, women are less aggressive and violent due to natural reasons, less testosterone, etc. Women are by nature built with a different goal, to nurture and comfort. Men, to protect and hunt. And the V8 is the epitome of testosterone-driven aggression. That doesn't mean nearly as much as it used to some thousands of years ago, but it's still a part of what we are. But that doesn't mean in any way that women can't drive the 5.0. Danica Patrick and many other women are proof that many chicks love powerful fast cars and can race as well if not better than their male counterparts. So you are in some pretty extraordinary company. You are not the norm--you've crossed a new evolutionary threshold that has taken you outside of the traditional female role, or "box." That, I think, is pretty **** cool. Having said that, say it with me: The V6 is a chick car. :-)

We're deep into 2011, brother. Is there a time table for delivery of the car? Can't imagine starting to make payments before taking delivery...

DEluXe

Also, I assume you recall that nomenclature used to be used for the '05-'09 trim levels, so I think Frankie is just carrying it over to the latest models.

By the way, I keep looking at Lava Red and wondering how it changes in lighting.

You remember the purple/black/red color-changing paint of the 95-96 cobra svt? I forget what it was called but it was just amazing to look at changing colors depending on the angle you looked at it. Whatever happened to that paint anyway? Never saw it again.

That color was called 'mystic' and was a 1-yr only run for the '96 Cobra. It was cool!

Some might say for exclusivity of the car, but I think it was because of cost and the proprietary formula. I don't recall an exact cost, but I believe it was in the neighborhood of hundreds of dollars for a pint.
