Also agree with Shaney about your sharp looking garage...I also noticed from the pic image you have a QuickJack... Just curious as to which model, as I'm seriously considering between QuickJack and Kwik-Lift for my garage

 

Thank you, and it is a 5000slx. I use it on all my cars ranging from chevy cruz to Audi a6 wagons. I even tried it on my nissan titan 4x4 and it picked it up, I just dont know if I would leave it up in the air with it. I store the quick jacks under my home built full length ramps. I do that because my mustang is too low to drive over the ramps and I am too lazy to move them around the garage. This way I just drive up the ramps, remove the center sections, fine adjust the lift, and hit the button. I should note that I have full length jacking rails on the mustang.

 

Your 5000SLX is pretty much one of their lowest profile jacks to begin with, so I can certainly understand the reason behind clearance issues when driving over the frame rails due from the full length jacking rails on the Mustang... My assumption is if it weren't for the full length jacking rails, you would more than likely have enough clearance for driving over the frame rails without the need for driving onto full length car ramps, but on the other hand, jacking rails most definitely make life so much easier when lifting the car off the ground is required... Therefore, IMHO building home made full ramps is a very small price to pay as far as I'm concerned...

Three reasons for not clearing the quick jacks: 1.) my car is lowered about 1' with Ford performance track springs, struts and shocks. 2.) lower profile tires. 285/35-19 up front and 305/30-19 rear and 3.) I have a Steeda four point sub frame brace with a 1/2" thick spacer to give the trans lines enough space not to create bubbles at high speed vibration. That puts the lowest point right at the center of the car. After I built the ramps I found out the true benefit of them. I can change the oil in oll my cars without jacking the cars up. Like I said I am lazy. Here is a link to how I built them.

 

Those are 3 very good reasons behind not clearing the QuickJacks indeed... Knowing that my "06" GT is lowered by 1.3" front and 1.5" rear with Eibach Pro Springs, Koni adjustable yellow struts/shocks and lower profile 275/40/18" tires on all 4 corners, I may also not be able to clear QuickJacks without adding full length car ramps, just as you did... Therefore, I'm going to need to carefully consider my decision on whether to place an order on QuickJacks 5000TLX, 5000TL or wait until Kwik-Lift ramps are back in stock?

Take a 4x4 or two tx4's and slide them under the car at its lowest point. If they clear then your car will clear the quick jacks. The jacks are 3 and 1/2" without the rubber pads.

 

Great heads up on taking a 4x4 or (2) 2x4's and sliding them under the vehicle at it's lowest point... If they clear as you brought up? then we'll be good to go... Another possible scenario is place blocks of 4x4's or 2x4's under all front and rear wheels which should also provide enough clearance for clearing the QuickJacks...

 

The first design I actually took a 1" thk plywood that I cut into two 2 foot wide x 6 foot long and painted them a bright color so I could see them and laid them down where I pulled the car in all the time with the quick jacks located on the inside of them and they worked really well. Till I pulled in a little to fast one day and when I applied the brakes they slide out of position. But they did do the job. You may try something as simple as that.
