full size spare tire storage

Since the closing of Auto Club Speedway in Fontana for the next 18 months min., I live just 6 miles north of the front gates. I decided to make some small changes to my tracked mustang to make it more street able. I moved the inside tire well diff cooler and to under the car, (I will show that in a later post), So with that space inside the trunk I can now put a spare tire inside the spare tire well where it belongs. However I use a full size tire and wheel, ( 285/35-19 ), Here is what I did to fill in the gapes between the tire and the housing. I made it out of shower board (home depot), and trunk carpet (Ebay). Just message me if any questions.

I am going to post a vid within the next few days. As far as the tires I used a silver sharpie and it works better then a paint pin.

Maybe it's just the camera angle, but in the bottom of the pic you seem extremely "excited" about completing the project

J/k. That turned out really good.

Reminded Me of the Urban Legend of a Guy Selling a Teapot or the Like on Ebay Some Years Back and Buyers Seeing His Nude Reflection in the Item Pic! I Read Later Someone Bought the Item and {Then Pulled Out and Left Him Hanging} Ya, I would say that Listing was Pulling a Boner!

First Part True, Second Part Not So Much!

Hope That Gives you a Chuckle as Well!

Here is the cooler in the "best place" IMO for track use and I will film an overview of its new location, (between the rear swaybar and undertray electronic), this weekend which is what I call a street, autocross and canyon setup.
