What are your winter upgrades?
So far I have the following plans:
1. Upgrade from air to water to air to air I/C.
2. Anderson Powerpipe and Abaco meter to replace the restrictive Vortech inlet.
3. AIS meth injection.
4. CDC aggressive chin spoiler for max airflow to the I/C.
Should push me to the 600whp level.
Post your winter projects.

Canton Accusump, having some sheetmetal valve covers made, a new breather set up, and a few more tricks up my sleeve Then the name of the game is weight reduction!

Boost
If car runs well at the previous 22 lbs boost level, we'll go for 25-27 lbs.
Launch and tuning
One of the main goals is to launch more horizontally. Looks cool and very photogenic lifting both front tires, but lots of energy used pushing car up, instead of forward.

We use that same system. Very nice...had jets spraying preturbo and prethrottle body. Dropped IATs 100+ degrees. We did have a problem with the way the stock intake manifold handled the mixture. There was an uneven distribution between cylinders, some rich, others lean, while the A/F showed very safe. The outcome was boooommmm. Since rebuilt motor stronger and have custom intake manifold. Also looking at modifying previous AIS methanol use (no details yet).
You got that right... We dropped 200+ lbs on our new build. Deleted a/c and sound system. Also the just-installed powerglide transmission is at least 100 lbs lighter than the 4r70 transmission, we had before. Small return-style fuel cell build underway. Expect car back on the rollers in January, see if the stage 3 Livernois heads and stage 3 turbo SPR cams, are worth the coin.

The JPC manifold for example supposedly does a good job of equal air distribution to all cylinders, thusly a meth application is all the more effective.
So many people use meth with good success, but I hear a story like yours and I get very leary of going to meth and just resign myself to using race gas.

Don't mean to scare you off meth...just sharing our experience. We are likely still going to use it (unless the IATs behave at high boost)...just not rely on it so much and greatly dilute. The motor was probably going to let go anyway. It had been heavily abused for a good while under high boost. That's why you have to have two budgets for racing...one for modding...one to replace all the stuff you know is going to blow, sooner or later
We did go with the JPC....pic of it atop the engine waiting to back into an empty engine bay

Winter mods...
Koni STR.T struts going in tomorrow to match the rears. And maybe Santa will bring me a set of Prothane motor mounts to take some slack out of the drive train.

Hopefully won't hose-down my rear suspension at the next track day now.
