Some I Have Already Deleted as They Were Not of Value. I Made a New Section Due To The Amount of Threads! and Will Go Through These And Do Some Weeding!

After I Finish Going Through These Threads I Will Do a Step by Step Easiest Route to Do the My Color Upgrade. It Will be Written in Such a Way If You Have To Go to The Dealer I Will Advise How To Get it Done as Cheap as Possible in Whatever Scenario Arises! So Stand By!

Note They Have Gone {Obsolete} so a Used Switch at Wrecking Yard or NOS if Can Find One on Ebay!

NOTE I USUALLY HAVE 1 or 2 Of These on Ebay I Just Feel Since I Invented The My Color Conversion & Still Sell Some NOS & Used Ford Parts at Times I Would Get These When I Come Across Them & Have Them For TMS Members & Viewers.

For Those Without Wiring and Bound & Determined to Add Anyway. I Believe This is All the Related Wiring Info You will Need! I think You Will End Up Needing 3 Plugs To Get the Wiring With Pins. 1 at Message Center ,1 at Cluster & 1 Of The Sjb Plugs All Scavenged Out of a Mesage Center Car Unless You Want to Pull Entire Harness Out of a Wrecked Car.

THE FIRST THING YOU MUST DO IS CHECK FOR THE WIRING! LOOK AT THE CLIPS ON THE SWITCH SAME AS ON DUMMY PLUG! THOSE NEED TO BE PUSHED DOWN TO RELEASE DUMMY PLUG! THE WIFE'S METAL NAIL FILE SHOULD WORK GREAT! INSERT AND LIFT UP ON TOP OR DOWN ON BOTTOM. WIGGLE OUT GENTLY SO AS NOT TO BOOGER UP RADIO PLATE! OTHERWISE RADIO PLATE WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED! NO WIRING NO DICE! SO CHECK THIS BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE! WIRING SHOULD BE SNAPPED INTO REAR OF DUMMY PLUG!


This Can Be Installed at any Time! It Will Merely Light Up and Effect Nothing! I Had Mine In Before Cluster Install!

I List them as FYI'S as You Will Not Need All This Info For the Cluster Swap but it is Good Info if You are Wanting to Know How Everything Functions. The Way The Shop Manual is Set up You can Get Overlap in the Files and They are Not As User Friendly When Not Used Online!
