no sweat! i figured i would take a few pics when i had it all pulled apart about 10 months ago. i was definately kicking around having new leds soldered on there...would be alot of soldering though...last soldering i did was when i modded my x-box, ,andmy nephews playstation, and it was pretty tedious work. i did not know they had tweezer irons though! i might have to look into that! maybe if we put out heads together we can figure this out!!!

First post, so go easy on me if this sounds stupid. What about painting the white
LEDs with black paint? It could be removed later with paint remover, so it would be able to return to stock.

Hmmm. Very interesting. Sounds easy and cheap.

Great idea. Actually, to test it at first, small pieces of black electrical tape could be used before using paint as a permanant change.

Now, if we could only figure out how to keep the white on all the time...

I finally bit the bullet and swapped all the led lights on my gauge cluster board so that the white ones light when the headlights are on, and the green ones light during the day. I put small strips of electrical tape over the remaining green lights that light when the headlights are on. It took me about 2 hours, but it is done and I love it! way better than the mycolor white in my sisters car.

I would be willing to perform this as a service to anybody interested. you pay the shipping, and i will do the work. I figure $100 will cover the labor. if you want a custom color just buy the smt leds and i will install those.

I don't. I just swapped the positions of the white and green leds on my board. I was going to pull one and take it to an electronics shop to find out what the specs are...

That's too bad. The gauges being difficult to read during the day have always been a thorn for me.
