2005-2009 Mustang Examples of Dealership Cluster Upgrade Resistance

I don't have pictures yet (later) but I just got my Mustang back from having the IUP package put in. I put the myColor cluster and the alluminum dash in. Thank you KC for a good deal on the parts. I had trouble finding a dealer that would do it but Six Pack Ford in Lewisville (tx) (and not Six Pack in Arlington....they wouldn't do it) did a GREAT job with the service. I LOVE it. I am realy happy I did it. It WAS NOT cheap...but not much more (if any) than the cost from the Factory.

My dealer told me today that FORD said they couldn't install the IUP color cluster, etc. Said it had to come factory installed. I emailed them with all the info I found on this forum.....for backup.......so, we'll see what they say now. One guy there says he thinks FORD is feeding them a bunch of "stuff". :nono:

I can't get it into my vehicle (cluster and switch is all I'm going for)... my vehicle doesn't have a complete wiring harness.

I sure wish I'd known that when I was sold the car.

I had written my dealer.....the guy in the parts dept said it couldn't be installed...the internet sales mgr said to send him the VIN # and he'd see what they could do. Haven't heard from him yet.
