I Got Big Money For The Car at the Time, The Guy Just Kept Bugging Me & The GT/CS Did Not get The Respect it Deserved in the Day. It Was Driver Condition and I Got $3500.00 Dollars For It. 1982/1983 I Believe!
I Would Settle For Still Having The Waistline & Hairline I Had Then! I Miss Both! All I Got From Those Days is The Moustache! Oh and I still Have The Levi Jacket, It Was My Grandfathers! Surely Has Not Fit Since the 80's!
I was 37.
Special-ordered a '13 GT Track Pack in June 2012 when I was a Service Advisor at a Ford dealership in Mass.
Picked it up August 2012. Traded in a 2007 Charger R/T AWD that I had done a ton of work to, but after a major engine failure and having to replace it with a stock unit and selling off the waiting-to-be-installed Procharger kit, I was ready to sell and move on.
Still own the Mustang, my first and still current Mustang
Trade-in / pick-up time, August 11, 2012:
It's changed a bit over the years ... gained a Whipple supercharger, started sitting lower to the ground, different wheels and tires, etc ...
Looking Pretty Cool Man! Hood Pins Hi-po Emblem on Grille & Wide Whites on American Racing Torq-Thrusts!

Thanks. Not everyone would notice the little changes. I also had some goodies added under the hood. There is a Cobra decal on the wing window that came with the cam I installed. In addition there was a 650 CFS Holly on top of a Wiand Highrise and Petronix ignition. Had traction bars and updated exhaust. It was a small block Vette killer. And, in my own mind, a babe magnet. BTW, Those whitewalls were cool in the 60s. Only stogy old farts had black walls on their sedans.
49 for my First Mustang
27 for my First Pony Car, nothing special Cougar XR7 351 4V HO with 4 Speed Top Loader.
That was the car that got me really interested in Road Racing since after the rebuild it had a slight traction problem but had a bunch more Torque than the V12's in the Lambo's and other Orange County California Go fast cars. Race uphill Baby.
Love it! This one brings back the memories for me. It is a combo of my '67 fastback (Candy Apple Red) and one of my high school buddy's '68 CS coupe (Acapulco Blue) with a vinyl top. My favorite years (67/68)
Ok I dug up some very terrible pictures of mine and my best friend's cars from high school. Mine is the 1967 Candy Apple Red Fastback S code (390 ci), and his is the 1969 Black Jade (Green) Sport Roof 351 ci C. I was 17 when I got it.
