At the vet...putting our Kiska down today. Didn't think she'd last this long, but she had a bad episode today. Probably a stroke.

 

Sorry about Kiska. They really do become part of our families.

Kiska on the left and Kodi (his full name is Kodiak Bear lol) on the right. This was a couple years ago, when she could still see and they semi tolerated each other still. Kodi didn't take well to her senile howling and barking at her shadow throughout her last few months...

Sorry to hear that Patrick. Being their friend means very likely having to say goodbye to them and feeling their loss. But we wouldn't do it any differently given the choice, so important and valuable is their loyalty, faithfulness and companionship. They help to teach us how to love and care for them when they live, and help teach us to say goodbye when they pass.
