The TMS Dog Thread!
Had to have our 13 year old dog put down last week. It was very hard on Mrs Patrick, that dog was her hiking buddy. We got this 3 year old Red Heeler mix from a local rescue today

It appears she is having a hard time getting adjusted to her new home. We are naming her "Catfish". Strange name for a female dog, but her head reminds me of a flathead catfish

Catfish does look pretty happy there. Thanks for rescuing her! This really got to me.... Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=5e_cr7tbc7w

Me too, and Tag came in and watched it with me
Geeze Darren, just when I didn't think I could feel any warmer and fuzzier, you say something like that!!!! I'm all blurried eyed again.....not that I really mind.
I get Tiki again in a couple of weeks, but I really want my own dog.
I'm planning on selling my house in NJ and getting a townhome in Eastern Pa this year. I don't know if dogs will be permitted in whatever new community I end up choosing so I can't make a committment now.
But if all goes well, I decided a while back that I'd like a rescue, perhaps a middle-aged dog who has been given up or abandoned. Mutt, half breed, pure....doesn't matter. I've had my share of second chances over the years, so it's time to pay it forward.

That's what mine does with all of her stuffed animals too. Some are lucky to make it through the day whereas some make it a couple of weeks. But we keep buying them for her even though we know she is going to ruin them but she looks so cute carrying them around and using them as a pillow, that we can't resist.

That is pretty awesome. I bet she loved it.
