I'll have to scrounge around to see if I have a pic, but my first car was a '78 Mustang II V6 Hatchback in orange. Much like the below, but with a tan interior. Yeah, yeah, haters, it's a II, but it was much beloved, even though it was a POS and in the shop every three weeks after it was released from the shop... each a different thing.. I still want it back.
So there. Pic below.
So there. Pic below.

No, we bought it from a used car dealer in 1984. We were crazy about it, for some dang reason, even though it kept breaking... it was the only orange car we knew of. Dad had the idea of a 302 II, but this was the gawdawful german V6 they had in it.
Oh, there were dreams of converting it to the 302, as all that'd be was... well, everything, come to think of it...
Finally had to let it go. Still wistful about it. Wound up with a '66 Tbird after that, which was pretty **** nifty right there.
Yeah, everyone loved the little tyke. Except dad when the call came 3 weeks after it gets out of the shop: "Uh... it's broke again, dad... No, different. I dunno, it doesn't steer..."
Or something. Now I'd just fix it. Then? 16 year old? Pfft, I knew nada, so it went somewhere and we picked it up later. Last brakeage was coming back from a trip to San Marcos, at night, transmission making all kinds of racket... made it home, but the end of the II was that night.
/Cool story bro.
