Went to a Snowbirds air show tonight. It was my first time trying to take shots of planes. I think they turned out better than I had expected. Hope you guys like them.

It was a bit tricky. I've never tried taking pictures of something moving so fast.

 

Prop planes are much easier to capture, but then the shutter speed you want to get the prop in motion and the rest of your picture crisp gets to be a bit tricky.

Sometimes I'd have to put the camera in burst mode and just snap as much as I could, then check them after to see if I got anything good. Not how I like to shoot, but an F-22 is a PITA to keep up with

 

Old pocket jaws isn't too easy to keep up with either, especially when the are flying by and suddenly decide to dive after a fish!

 

Have fun in OC. See if you can get some pics of the dolphins. My camera doesn't zoom enough

 

Those were from 2 years ago. That lens I used was a rental and was awesome. Too bad i'll be putting the camera up for sale to help pay for some car repairs. I also won't be going to OC. My friends I go with are staying home this year, plus I couldn't afford to go anyway due to the job situation. The dolphins were around last yeat too. So maybe next year...

I really wish the picture had come out the right way with the colors and stuff. It was so beautiful, the fairway was perfectly manicured and green, bright blue sky, and snow white clouds.
