Very cool, don't get very many thunderstorms over here.
I did get some more but it was hit and miss and the video was very shakey. I will look through the video and see if I got any more good shots like that.
Yeah we have been getting pounded in the south right now. The jet stream is out to the west, where it was directly over the mid to south east last year. That's partly why our hurricane season was busy last year but the storms mostly stayed up the east coast or Mexico/South Tx. This year will be different. We may see a few storms enter the Gulf of Mexico and make landfall in the Gulf Coast this year.

Yeah I leave my house at 1 AM on Tuesdays and get to the Heliport at 5:30 depending on how often I stop. Usually stop for gas at least once and to grab some breakfast. 4 hours and 15 minutes give or take 15 minutes or so. I work 7 and 7. Which means I do that twice a month but I still drive less than when I worked a 9 to 5 with a 45 minute one way trip a day. And I only work half the year! I could work a 14 and 14 but the family demands that I'm only gone for the 7 days. 14 days offshore isn't bad but by about the 10th day I am ready for dry land. I may be switching to Grand Isle in the near future. I'll be staying on land and flying/boating to the structures every day, still 7 and 7. Waiting to see if that's going to play out. I've been in this field for 4 years now. Looking for a change.
