I'm only at 4200' and although near the Eastern Oregon desert there are no rattlers or timber rattlers here. I do see about 1 garter snake a year and that's it. Still keep a wary eye though cause woods is woods! lol

Thank you... I have a two year degree in graphic design but would much rather pursue photography and the classes that I took were before the digital madness

Our daughter specializes in newborn and infants. She has taken several 3 day courses from professionals and it really paid off. You should look into doing that for the type of photography you want to specialize in
