Listen to Gary and Al. While cropping the ears of a Pit is still considered acceptable, why put the poor pup through unnecessary surgery and pain just for your own personal preference?

The general public are afraid of Pits. Making him look menacing doesn't help that. He's not a show dog, right? Keep him looking cute.

+1 but it's her choice, I didn't crop my pits ears or tail. My pit would always got ear infections though, and my vet mention that they heard that cropping theirs ears helps prevent ear infection ( don't know how ) but she said it wasn't a sure thing, plus no Vet in MN, legally crops ears.

He will have pain pill's... Plus he has a very high pain tolerance, they put them to sleep so he's not going to feel it. And yes I would like to put him in shows just don't know where to start.

His tail is staying. I've never seen a pit without one that's just odd.
My Vet said when they have floppy ears they build up a lot of yeast... Cutting the ears lets air get in there so they don't get infection as much.

I think that's what she told me, but she also said that she talked to other vets and the ear cropping didn't help some of their clients.

Saw this while driving home ,couldn't get closer because he was randomly slowing down.
