oh Eric!!!! yeah he's from here...technically called Granite Falls but he lived on the Dry Ponds Road which is just a couple minutes away...

Not many famous folk from around here....he and Kary Mullis....I doubt you know who he is, but he won the nobel prize in Chemistry doing some stuff with DNA...

I think that just about sums it up right there. I think the stones are troopers. Even if you don't like their music, they should be respected. Along with Aerosmith. The Beatles sucked.
