Car + Semi = bad

dad drives a semi, sees this kind of stupidity all the time. People passing him, then immediately cutting them off to get in front. When that happens the driver of the semi has no chance of not killing you if you have to brake all of a sudden. Those guys can't simply get out of the way.

 

My mom's friend's husband told me a horrible story when he was truck driving and a car came over the median and hit his truck.

Said he still has nightmares about what he saw..

Lady was decapitated. They found a brain in his engine!!

 

When I was in Germany before we had some folks coming back from a graduation and a semi came into their lane and killed four of the five. Driver fell asleep, real sad.

 

I can tell there's some days where dad comes home more stressed than usual. Imagine all the idiocy of people driving you see everyday, multiply that by a factor of 10 since you're only driving a few minutes everyday, add on the fact that in general there's not much you can do to avoid an accident, and cap that off with the fear of knowing you'll very badly hurt whomever you hit.


I hear people complaining about truck drivers all the time, I say give them all the space and time they need to get wherever they're going. They need it, you dont. And don't assume that they see you. The drivers hate nothing worse than someone riding next to them in traffic, especially when they're not incredibly visible.

 

Never ever drive near a big rig. Never ever drive between two big rigs. If you have no choice, have a football field of space in front of you.

 

If you can't see BOTH of their mirrors, they can't see you.

It looks so real tho

 

Its a really low quality photo, its real easy to hide the blurred edges and other imperfections. I can see where alot of the edges looked a tad blurred, around the big guy specially, all it would take is cutting him out of the photo at his normal size, enlarging him and then carefully cropping back into the photo. Then smoothing over all the edges and junk, and your good to go.
