So only the 1%'ers can't handle weapons? All those thugs that gun each other down and their random spray of bullets knock off innocent citizens. They CAN handle their weapons?

 

1%, 99%, doesn't matter. They have the right to live in peace and protect their property. These thugs BROKE into the community. Income levels of the thugs and residents doesn't matter. If you broke in, you are not peaceful. Already stated they need to learn better gun handling. Still, they didn't shoot anyone.

A home that was purchased using money that they earned?

A home that was purchased using money that was earned protecting minorities from discrimination?

A home that was purchased using money that was earned protecting minorities from discrimination that is inflicted by people that are breaking the law?

Protecting their home from people that are breaking the law, just like they protected minorities from discrimination by people that are breaking the law?

Broke in, shouted threats against the people, the property, and their dog, and brandished weapons at the same time. Liberals leave so much of the truth untold.

Wrong - the "peaceful" protesters broke into a Private gated community and the protesters were trespassing. At that point they are vandals. There are no public roads in the community they broke into, so they had no right to be there and the couple had every right to get their guns to protect themselves and ask them to leave. Castle doctrine.

They do not have the right to be on someone's PRIVATE property. Did you know that in a gated community, even the roads are private? The state/county does not maintain them. The homeowners have to pay for repairs themselves. No tax dollars involved.

 

What rights does someone who is trespassing have? They had no right to be in that gated community. Funny thing is that the couple who pulled the guns are liberals. Conservatives would have known not to point the guns at each other and to keep their fingers off of the trigger until ready top shoot.

 

If a riotous mob breaking through the gate and shouting threats is NOT a reason to get your guns out and be prepared to defend yourself, then I don't know what is . . . aside from the poor gun safety skills I would have done the exact same thing

the basic idea of a weapon such as a gun, is that it allows you to defend yourself against what would otherwise be overwhelming odds . . . I'd say a riotous mob against one man and one woman is overwhelming odds; what else were they supposed to do? cower inside and watch while their dog was hung from a tree and hope that they didn't set the house on fire?

Where were the cops? I don't see any in the videos. I heard they called 911 first, and then went out to defend their property while they waited for help to arrive, but the cops never showed up, or showed up much later

 

They were threatened, and the shear number of people in the crowd leaves the homeowners defenseless without a weapon. A group of people could easily beat the couple to death and never use a single weapon. They pulled a gun, no one was shot, and all is well (except in libbyland). I think liberals like you are more upset that no one was shot, because it proved guns don't kill, people do. Two scared people, who obviously suck at gun handling, still did not kill anyone. And again, the crowd had a mix of races.
