50 Caliber Kentucky Long Rifle.

The ONLY things on that gun that was prefabricated was the barrel and the internal trigger mechanism. EVERYTHING else is hand carved, hand cut, hand formed, hand engraved, and hand assembled. From front to end that is an entirely hand crafted muzzle loader.

Well then, that rifle is literally worth its weight in gold, isn't it? I hope it is destined to become a prized family heirloom for generations to come. They don't get any better.

That's beautiful. I believe I'm gonna start playing again real soon. Gonna need lots of lessons but I want to buy guitars. Went into a music store last week and seriously could have went broke there. I love guitars and only wish I could actually play. No point in just buying them if I don't know how. I know some basic chords and scales but not enough to justify building a collection. Yet.

The only way I know how to play is by ear. I don't know how to identify chords by name, but I listen to a piece and duplicate it. I've wanted to teach myself a more formal means of playing but just haven't invested the time. Seems there's always something more pressing.

Yeah I want to learn to read music. I could when I was a kid but have long forgot all that. Really just an excuse so I can justify buying a few guitars. We already have 4 in the house but I want better ones. Lol

Definitely. My dad passed away 2 weeks ago. That was the last gun he ever built. It is without a doubt staying with me and will be passed on to my daughter when I die.

I'm currently trying to find an appropriate display case for it. Something like that you don't just lock away in a cabinet or safe.
