I am in utter disbelief folks. The DMV, after 12 WEEKS, notifies me that they rejected my plates because they may be offensive or indecent. To top it off, they tell me that it will take 10 WEEKS to credit me back.

Is it just me, or has this political correctness bullsh** gone way too far?

What is so bad about that ??? That was the whole theme of my car with the red and black and now because some puritan ***** at the DMV didn't like my plates I gotta start all over.

I am pissed...

 

Maybe they could approve it via email first? That's what they do in TX. Perhaps you could try: DVLISH ; DVLSH

I'm sorry to hear about that. I wonder if it's a state related issue considering my plate says "DEVILGT". Would you consider re-sending the request and hope for a positive response the second time around?

Had the same problem years ago when I started a computer company called Byte-Me. I tried to get plates BYTEME but I was told I was not allowed as it would insight road rage. WTF? So let me get this right, I can't have plates that say that but I can have vinyl letters plastered all over it that say the company name, which the government allows. Go figure.

 

yah, the whole thing is just freakin' ridiculous to me. Now I have to start all over and wait ANOTHER 12 weeks and hope they don't reject my next request.
