Shelbys were fitted with sequentials and no other Mustang till the current cars.

Ford I guess took notice of the huge aftermarket demand for them and just integrated.

Like the now retired fogs on the GT the sequentials make the Mustang instantly recognizable in the dark and add some visual excitement. Not a bad thing IMO.

I like watching the car behind me with kids in the car when i'm turning. Some of them get excited to see them blinking.

I’ve really had a good look over the 2015 Mustang, thought about it for a while and looked at the videos.
Personally and my opinion being that it is a now a world car I think the design team might have been looking at a little euro flair in the Mustang while still holding on to its trade mark heritage that has made Mustang last so long. It’s a good blend and I’m sure will do well, but not beat down the dealership doors as the 64 ½ did.

The Bad:

  • Fist front end design is not a Mustang, front nose “Pointed” hood with sucked back in grill is always a seller. If you leaning to the 1969 design use the 69 shark nose. The side view on the new mustang looks like the front was sawed off. Any euro car has a fist nose.
  • Center stack in the interior for the Nav/ Radio/ heater etc. looks to chunky. More “V” shape profile should have been used here giving it better flow if it was possible.
The Good:
  • Drive train varieties are what everyone wants 4’s to 8’s cylinders gives lots of potential to this car for around the world to meet all needs.
  • Independent rear suspension will take this to the next level, lower and wider was great for this new stang. Offer up a bolt up fixed axel for the hard core will cover all bases.
  • 200 Lbs less for all this work will pay off on the street or on the track, that’s a lot to shave off with just out of the box for 2015.
  • Personally I Love the 69 fast back look and lights of the rear of the Mustang. The Coke bottle style is always a good seller. The 3D effect of the rear is spot on as the car looks like it is moving yet standing still with the body pulled over the rear tail lights section and the tri bar tail lights pulled out slightly but inset in the body.
Overall Mustang has always had a lot to offer everyone over the years that has kept this car an Icon to treasure whether on the street, strip or sitting in the garage. This new stang will do the same giving the opportunity for those in other countries that never had chance to buy one to now own one. As long as the formula for keeping this car affordable to the average middle class consumer it will do well.
For me I won’t buy it, the heritage Mustang front end is gone and so is the side “C’ stripe insert in the side body,.... now it looks like any other European car. Glad I bought My 05 Mustang, great tribute to a classic design.

Not all Mustangs had a "heritage" front end and side "C" stripe . . . but I understand your point.

True not all did but I can live without the "C" stripe gone but not a flat nose.
Thanks for the understanding, I do appreciate that.

No probs man It's all good. The Mustang will do well, but at this point it's not for me. I'll wait and see what new changes appear down the road.

It took a few days for me to digest the looks of the '15 from all the release pics. It has really grown on me. I like it.

Thanks you Ford for letting me keep my money and my 07 GT instead of buying a Mustang made ala Mazda style. Might as well put a rotary engine in it.

And the front end/--"turning Japanese, i think im turning Japanese, i really think so!"

Fixed.
Such a neat contraption but I believe the rotary is gone forever. It's just not designed for longevity. Even with the best built rotary, it just won't beat out pistons.

Only if there were at least four of them, preferably six, 813hp and 560 ft/lbs wouldn't be to shabby for a DD.

I have to see the Triple Yellow...not sure if I'll like it. I loved Sunset Gold and Yellow Blaze, also loved Screaming Yellow - in Ford's renders, it almost looks like a pearl version of Zinc Yellow from 01-03, and I did not care for that yellow. We'll see though!
