How important is your Mustang's color to you?

One of our authors did a little write up on how big of a deal the paint has been for Mustangs over the years. It's been some pretty wild colors, and they're all critical to the brand. Grabber Blue is my personal fav. I agree with him that the color is a pretty big deal. What do you think?

(Check it out on the blog here)

I'm probably an odd ball but I didn't really care about the color. I know I didn't want silver. Everything else was fine. I had preferences but I felt being flexible on color let me look for the best deal. If I could have afforded to be picky, my car would be grabber blue. Race red has grown on me, thankfully, and I love it.

Color is a HUGE deal.
It's a part of you and plus, you have to look at your car everyday, you want to make sure it's what you want.

Color is definitely important. I wouldn't have gotten my V6 if it weren't for it being Competition Orange. There's a ton of mustangs and I want mine to be unique and different. I would probably never own a silver or white mustang, but that's just because I like bright colors that stick out from the rest.

I agree that it is very important. I was willing to pay extra for Ruby Red Metallic and LOVE the color. With the stone top and interior it is, at least to me, a really striking car.

I chose and searched for Sterling Gray Metallic but now I kind of think Gotta Have It Green is a better color.

Different colors are great. But I know I would get sick of something too "flashy" IMO. So, since I am so boring....I love my black. All four of our vehicles are black. I love the look.

(Thank god my husband does not mind washing vehicles)

+1

That's the entire reason I got rid of my grabber orange GT and bought my black Bullitt. The orange was a cool color, but it didn't fit my personality at all. Doesn't hurt that the Bullitt is such a cool car as well.

When buying the Stang color didn't really factor in as a primary concern. Then again, it's not like there's much to specifically order here.

I ended up with silver mainly cause the dealership offered a good price, and gave me a warrenty period in which they would foot the bill for anything that came to light.

By now I've found the Silver Mustang Registry, and got a good deal of friends there, so I'm pretty sure I won't digress too much from the color anymore

There are so many wonderful colors to choose from and having something a little different is always very appealing. Yeah I own a white car but with the black top, the black CS accents, and black shaker hood, I just love it and there aren't many around like mine.
If I was buying a new one, tukatz car is really sharp and I might go that route. I like that color combo, and again, it is quite different.

I think it's important. I won't go as far as Adrian because if it was a racer, I wouldn't care what it looked like, just how fast it was. But for street cars, yeah, it matters. I spent two days going back and forth on what color I wanted to order the Shelby in.

It is very important. A car is a major purchase and you have to be happy with it. Each color gives the car it's personality as well as the driver. Some colors work on some cars while others not. I think brighter colors look more sporty where as some darker colors look more elegant and luxurious. I am very happy with my color choice silver. I had been attracted to it for years now. Search all the dealers in my area and surrounding areas to find it. That was the only one. I choose it without seeing some of the other colors in person. If I could not have gotten the silver, deep impact blue or grabber blue would have been my 2nd choice. I saw the grabber blue before and thought it was a bit too bright for me. Later after my purchase, I saw a deep impact blue. It was pretty. I have yet to see one on the road. All the colors are very nice. I am 100% satisfied with the silver.

For me, it was the only color I was was going to get. I still get compliments on the color all the time. And since it's been a while since I posted a pic anywhere.......

For me, a car like this HAS to be red! I had a 2008 Candy Apple Red GT/CS (Jill's twin) and got lots of compliments on the color. Now with a 2013 Race Red GT/CS and it gets even more attention.

My wife isn't a big 'white' fan but I just love the look, especially when in cool places, like the Tail of the Dragon.
