Here’s a guy who should play the lottery. Chances are, if you go speeding down a street, and then get your car torn in half by a telephone pole, walking away is not really an option. But that’s exactly what happened here. Not only did this Mustang driver walk away, but he was also completely uninjured.
The Mustang, a rental car, was travelling around Seattle at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control. Amazingly, there were no pedestrians on the normally-crowded bike path where the separate halves of the Mustang finally came to rest. The front and rear of the car wound up about 200-feet apart, yet somehow, the driver’s seat and drivers door were the only things that seemed to be un-touched.
Though charges are still pending, EMTs and police made sure the driver was okay before releasing him. Any traffic violations levied his way should be seen as a miracle, considering how lucky he is to have walked away. It’s worth noting that the Powerball lottery is up to $70 million right now. He should go buy a ticket or two, right?
