Is anyone psyched for SEMA this year?

It's actually going to be my first time going, so I don't really know what to expect outside of what the internet has told me to. Mainly that means ridiculous, undrivable, amazing feats of customization.

We already have two that we'll for sure be checking out.

This one doesn't look atrocious. Also, Vortech power.

I think widebodies look kinda dumb on anything but race cars, but this kit seems pretty sporty. I'm not entirely sold on it though.

Is there anything else I should be looking out for?

I'm excited to go. My first trip too. I'm told its lots of 20" wheels and stuff like that, but it still should be cool.

TOTAL SENSORY OVERLOAD

Guys, you are going to have a great time I am going again this year (5th Show) All I can say is "total sensory overload"! There is so much to see and if you ran through all the halls, alleys, and parking lots, you probably still could not see it all in a single day, it is that BIG! I tend to focus on certain areas and avoid others - trucks and off road vehicles don't do it for me but, the tire and wheel section is a MUST just for the eye candy Remember, the bus does not run from the Sands Convention Center (Aapex) on Friday. See you there

Actually they're supposed to have like, 57. Which is ridiculous. I don't even know what I'm going to do with myself other than run around taking pictures like a man possesed.

The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition, the SEMA Show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, networking opportunities and more.

SEMA Show 2013 drew more than 60,000 domestic and international buyers. The displays are segmented into 12 sections, and a New Products Showcase featured nearly 2,000 newly introduced parts, tools and components. In addition, the SEMA Show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, networking opportunities and more…

Note: The SEMA Show is a trade-only event and not open to the general public.

So my question for those that have been to it is, can you get in as general public, or do you have to be in the industry like the web site says?

Generally - you need a credential. If you have a favorite source for parts or shop that does work for you, you can try hitting them up to help you obtain one.

There is a bunch of stuff outside the convention center too. I don't recall anyone check credentials outside.

It's worth the effort to try to find one.

They really don't check credentials that hard, but you will need to be wearing them at all times. It's not intended for the public, but there are always thousands of people there as "Guests"

It's arguably my favorite event of the year. The cars you see there are breathtaking
