Here is an update on the start of our shock tower fabrication. With the mini towers welded in it was time to cut out the towers to gain clearance for our Terminator engine.

Terminator FTW! This might be a stoopid question, but what's the pipe down the middle of the car?

The pipe is one of the subframe connectors and at the back it also has a provision for the rear lower control arm mount for the Watts Link.

Since you have cut out the old shock tower to make room for the new engine, will you be fabricating new motor mounts or is this something else you have orderred?

Part of the Griggs GR350 suspension includes motor mounts...the lower crossmember has provisions for the mounts and the mounts are included with the Griggs kit for either a pushrod windsor engine or a 4.6 modular.

WOW!!!! Was so jealous when i saw the pics at the start of the build rust free up here in NY means the guy cut out the floor and put a piece of plywood in to replace it (yeah I did look at a car like that before i bought my 68 back in 1982) but then i saw you had a little more rust than me The amount of parts and the technology they have for these stangs now is amazing. If i had to do it over again I'd start with one of those new 67 fastback bodies, patching rust sucks. Car looks amazing good luck with the build Tony's shelby parts are great bought a truck load for my clone.
