Thank heavens I have no space (Hemmings auction)
I've always liked these and always drawn to the one featured in the sci-fi flick Starman. I'm curious what it will go for and I'm glad i am not registered to bid on Hemmings. Too tempting. I can see myself at car shows with this one.

One of These in Original Appearance But With 300 Horsepower Would Be a Hoot! They Should Have Got a FARRAH Look a Like To Pose With Car! Then The Memories Would Flood Us 60+ Year Old Buyers! It's in PA. Rocky Needs This! Actually Sounds Pretty Good in Video

Only 8 hours left as I write this. The reserve has NOT been met. Could be a 'no sale'. If I had the $$$ and space, I imagine $15k might buy it?? I'm probably wrong as inflation has kinda taken over this market as well. Nothing is inexpensive any longer.
Have always had a soft spot for the 1971-1973 and 1974-1978 Mustangs. Many pony enthusiasts take a dim view of both.
But without these cars and their era, we wouldn't be enjoying the long history of Mustangs and the rides we have today. These cars were the right idea for their oil embargo/federal smog rules era. Truth is, the Mustang II sold very well for Ford.

Most of the Gen 2 Mustangs just don't do it for me, but I do like the ones that were decked out like the Farrah Cobra Models. There are just some of those that I would love to have and that is one. Even better if it has an updated engine with some HP. Those little beasts can scoot with the right updates. Cool find, but $15k+ might be a bit much. Very nice looking though.

They were extremely light and the rear ends were tough to keep straight. Even later in 1982 when I bought my new GT, the rear end broke free real easy, especially in the wet. The cars weighed only about 2,500 lbs. The 157 HP 5.0 engine was quite quick so doubling the HP would have been insane.
