just got off the phone with the owners and they said "you've got to have a real passion for this car, passion for mustangs. this isnt some car just look look good in, it needs a pssionate owner who knows mustangs"
if we had a video phone they woulda seen halelujiea! if im not passionate abouot mustangs, what am i passionate about? lol

i rembeber seeing a few nice mustangs in Napa, with equally nice prices....hehehe

wow, i didnt even beleive it was possible for a II to cost so much

i thought the tangerin orange II you got was waaaay overpriced! man! but its good to see more desire for the beloved II. the downside? now they're harder to afford, but hey, anythings possible.

 

Don't say that, of course you will. Finish college, get a job ... ok, ok, now I'm sounding like my mom, but you know its true. There are 3 cars that I have to have and I will own them (someday) no matter what: 1949 Mercury Custom, 1968 Dodge Charger and 1971 Pontiac GTO.

hes right about that though...thats an awesome car, its like it drive out of 1978...even original tires, how often do you see that?

 

Which should mean you have to rebuild the motor and replace body panels to drive it.

no she says it runs well and everything, but like all cars of its age, it has imperfections. its mechanically sound for the most part. but i'll go and see it later today to be sure the body panels are very straght, no major dents aside from minor door dings. she did send me some pics and they arent bad at all. its not a perfect pristine car, but i dont want a pristine trailer quuen (nor can i afford onE :P ) also, even thought its a notch, it has a mach 1 dash and hood. whee! now i dont have to do that! i was originally planning that before i saw it anyways :w00t:

perhaps im too excited now. oh well, im 15, i can afford to be excited!

although she said there is black smoke coming from the pipes... anyone got an idea what that means? i was thinking maybe old Catylitic converters, but i dont know too much about cars, so im probably wrong..

if its just that cats, i think ill be fine cuz im planning a Shelby side exhaust anyway. plus since its over 30 years old, emmisions stuff isnt required anymore

 

Wow, that's the highest price I've ever heard of for a II. Nice condition though. It looks like it rolled off the showroom floor.

 

That price is insane. It has a dirty, faded interior with no console and the doors have been cut up for lousy aftermarket speakers. I don't think that the exhaust is correct (I think it extends too far back compared against 1978 promotional photos.) A much, much nicer example of the same car sold on eBay last August and it had 56 high resolution photos posted. From the few low resolution photos provided of this one, it's impossible to tell very much about its condition. Notice that the seller included NO photos of the problem areas that he mentioned.

There's one born every minute and eBay's the place where they tend to congregate these days. Well, there and Barrett-Jackson.

I thought every King Cobra had the center console? and I don't know how those decals could look so good after 26 years and almost 40,000 miles on the road? I bet its been repainted and those decals are reproductions. Tires don't last that long either, I would have to see this car to believe it.
