Howdy! Welcome to the forums! ![Wavey](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/wavey.gif)
V-belt pulleys generally run the same direction as the crank, so that *should* be clockwise as you look at the front of the engine. It's otherwise a stroked 302 block setup, after all, so whatever the '78 setup was this setup should be, I'd say. Maybe ask it for the 302 fan and get that.
That said, I'd be thinkin' of probably abandoning the mechanical fan and putting in an electrical one, unless you are going original restoration... which means yanking the 347 and putting the proper 302 back in with the choked by emissions stuff anemic horsepower, so... yeah, electric fan all the way, man.![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Hope that helps!![Thumb](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
/Also, pics of the '78, don't hear much about those 'round here!
Kinda jelly, my first was a '78 II hatch in orange with the v6 manual. Orange Bomb, we called it, and boy howdy... but I still miss it!
