New printed circuit sheet, cleaned up the gauge pod, installed the Suntune II tach in the stock tach housing, so it's sort of almost looks stock.(especially since it's a "II" tach) used LED bulbs in ICY BLUE, I love the color. I tested a spare gauge clear cover, wet sanded it with 1500, then 3000 grit, and cleaned it, then I used headlight clear coat on it, and the results were surprising. It started out scratched and ugly, I was about to throw it out, glad I didn't!.
Did Something Similar Back In The Day on My 71 LTD Coupe. Put in Small Tach in Place of Clock! Still Have Car Although Has Not Been Roadworthy For Many Years. Been In Family Since about 1979 When Stepfather Purchased with 26K on Her. Just a Tad Over 100K on Her Now! Not Bad For 50 YO Car! I Think it's Suntune as Well!
With the 530hp in a 2450 lb car, traction used to be an issue on BFG radials even with the 3.10 axle gearing. For years I never knew what the car could do at full throttle in 1st gear. lol I had to launch in 2nd gear at no more than half throttle to hook it. However I went with 255/40ZR17 Toyo Proxy R888s on '95 Cobra R wheels, and I was finally able to see what the car does launching it in 1st gear. It was a pleasant surprise.
I actually have a video from way back around 2000, the car still had 14" wheels on it with little tires lol That was right after I built the stroker for it, those tires and wheels got replaced soon after.
