Ordered a MGW shifter. Hoping it will alleviate some of the minor 1st to 2nd problems and major 2nd to 3rd problems.
Nothing like taking off fast from a light onto a service road only to have to wait for the transmission to accept the fact that you want to put it into 3rd gear. |

You mean your stock shifter right? MGW is way to go. I had a hurst in my '09....is MGW putting out the better product? |
Filled it with gas....

Yeah. Sorry, I should've clarified. The stock shifter is terrible. I had a hurst in my '09....is MGW putting out the better product? Today I drive it to work for the first time this year, and gave a few friends a ride in it after hearing my new borla setup. Everyone thought it sounded spectacular...much better than any other setup they've heard. Thanks borla. After that, took 1/2 day from work, then washed Marilyn in prep for detailing session tomorrow. |
Pushed the snow from last night off her. Seems everywhere I go people rubberneck to stare at the shiny new Mustang. This is Europe.

Applied a coat of Fuzion this morning after a spring detail yesterday. Getting ready for a cruise with some buddies... 2 vettes no doubt.

Got the DSS d/s in, I don't feel anything up to about 100, and only minor something then. Had it up to 110 with no issues.
I didn't cruise at those speeds since it was just a quick spurt there, relax a bit, then quickly back down to sane speeds. The biggest difference I feel after the work done today is in the shifting. After a few minutes of driving I started noticing that when I put the shifter into a gear it feels like a little cushion is there now, that wasn't there before. It feels "cushier" ... lol I like it, it changed the shifting feel quite a bit. I'd highly recommend this trans fluid to every MT82 owner out there ... :) I took samples of the 5,000-mile Amsoil 10W40 XL from the engine, and the rear-diff fluid which is kinda gray. I can't wait to see what Blackstone Labs has to say about these fluids ... |
