You have to.

I just found out that it's almost $600 for new body moldings, plus paint and install.

What's body moldings? I don't have any body moldings. Does the Notch have a line of plastic molding that runs around the car?

They're rubber, and it they aren't in the greatest condition, so I want to replace them. But it's probably going to be at least 1k to do it. I also need to replace the roof rail molding, which is about $80 I think. And the quarter window molding needs to be restored too. I could get some caps to put over them, but I'd rather do it the hard way, and have it look good in the end. My car is a never ending project.

Wow. I really can't tell in the pics that it even needs it. $1,000 for body moldings.

Well if you saw it in person you could. The ones in the front and back look really good, but it's the ones in the middle that need to be replaced. I knew it'd be a lot, but not quite that much.

I had a customer of mine come by the office and told me he wants to sell his 1972 Stingray. Its grey metallic with the porno red interior. I think its a roadster or something. 3 speed auto 350 engine with 360+hp. Has the shark nosed chrome front bumper and porno red interior. Everything redone. Probably a 4 on the 1-5 scale. $23,000.00 Sounded oh so good. Unfortunately I'm in no position to get another car, and the Stang is going no where not even for a '72 Vette. Oh well. It would be nice to be made of money. I have actually always wanted a '72.

And also like this but grey and red instead of white and blue. Same engine, factory air, power everything, auto, and the luggage rack on the rear.

The beauty of the '72 is the shark nosed chrome bumper on the front and the chrome rear numper. In '73 they went to the modern body color molded bumpers like we have today. And of course as was the case with everything else in '73 the hp numbers were redced. I also love the side vents, the front grilles below the bumperm the awesome shape of the rear and the hips. It is an awesome car that is not nearly as expensive as the late '60s Vettes are now.

Ya, the chrome nose looks a lot better than the painted one.

I know I'll regret this someday, but oh well. They made a ZR1 back in 1972. Only 20 in fact. If it were a ZR1 I would find a way.

It is sitting there for the time being.

I drive it once a day. It still has 1/4 tank of the original gas I got when I drove it home a couple of months ago.

I am going to spend this weekend getting the 2nd storage cleaned out and cleaning out the attic and getting my storage squared away. Then the Bronco will go into the extra garage where it can sit while I work on it. I don't want to work on it sitting in the driveway.
