I will admit that when I saw the orginal Star Wars Boba fett seemed cool. But after seeing the rest, I don't get it. He's a bounty hunter. And the son or spawn I should say of Jango fett. Yet he is a clone and therefore no different than the clone troopers. So what's the big deal with Boba fett?

The clones are accelerated clones and have had mental changes to be obedient soldiers. their creativity is hampered
Boba Fett is an unaltered clone, so as close to a son as Jango will ever have. Genetically he is the same as his father, but the life he lives leads him to be a much colder, darker character.
and yes he's a bounty hunter, but not just any. He is THE best bounty hunter.
Also, my armor is not technically Fett's armor, it is just a set of Mandalorian armor, which is what Fett wears. The Mandos were a race of soldiers/mercenaries/nomads. Alot of them bounty hunted, but they were all but wiped out when they decided conquest was the way to do things.
They are eventually refounded and Boba Fett, being not only one of the most well known Mandos/Bounty Hunters, but also heir to Jango, who was a pretty well established Mando himself before the conquest/annhiliation bit. Jango became a Bounty Hunter after the Mandalorians were all broken/battered/scattered/slaughtered or what have you.
Theres still alot of details I don't know, despite owning all but 5 Star Wars novels, I'm still lacking a lot of info. I need to find some comics that are specific to the mandos/Fett. Right now my sort of on the side intellectual project is to go through and learn all the details of Fett's story. I'm really big on the Mando Culture, and am trying to learn the language too :P
My next tattoo will be the Fett clan Mythosaur skull on my left shoulder, and perhaps some Mando script

I knew his answer would be good. Somewhere laying in the bottom of a box of toys at my parents house is my original Boba fett action figure from about 1980. They were very hard to find at the time. No internet, so you just had to keep hitting the store until you found one. They made 1 of them for every 100 Darth Vaders or Skywalkers.

Too bad its not new in package right. Guess I should see if she knows where the box is. The really stupid thing is my nephews used to always play with my old toys and break them. Had lots of original Star Wars and G.I. Joe/Cobra action figures. Where are they now?

I've got a ton of em boxed up too, all newer stuff obviously.
My cousin (hes like 30 something) had a bunch when he was a kid. his dad gave them all away while he was away with the military. came back about 7 years ago and we tallied up what his collection was worth and... it was a couple grand worth of stuff
he was PISSEd to say the least lol

Arin you don't know how many times I went to the mall or begged someone to take me to find that Boba Fett. It was like Indy finding the Ark of the Covenant or something. I had found what could not be found.
