You know, you always hear that HIDs provide better lighting, are safer for driving at night, etc. Why is it that you don't see very many big trucks with them? As much time as they spend on the road, you'd think they would be the ones that would benefit most from them.

I've asked dad about that. He says that you see fine being up that high at night, and to be honest, there's not a whole lot they can do if they happen to have something leap out in front of them. Its far safer to hit something with a semi than to try to avoid it, fishtail and w/e.
The newer trucks have started to integrate HID's, but the new trucks aren't as fuel efficient as the ones from a few years back, so they're slow in getting widespread.

so a friend of mine posted this on my FB wall, just thought it was awesome.
Charlestoned is a company that makes tshirts and w/e depicting how great Charleston can be, the restaurant/bar "Red's" on the shirt below, I celebrated July 4 in a couple years back. It's every bit as awesome as it looks. On the canal, we could see all the fireworks from the roof deck, cold beer, good food, southern women at their best. Ah, memories.
I wish they had this tshirt in colors other than white. I hate a white tshirt. Put it on that background green or a black, and it's mine!
