looking at the date, and seeing as it is texas, I'm going to guess it was at one time a horse trough for water. turn it into a fountain or something.

^^ This. Although, it looks just about the right height that someone (not mentioning any names) would get all lit up, trip over it, and fall right into the fire.

My dad wants to drag it over to his house and use it for something. I myself wanted to drag it over to my house and use it for a fountain in the middle of the circular drive I plan on doing.
The only problem with making it a fire pit is that concrete will bust up when exposed to high heat. It would have to be lined in fire bricks and that just seems like alot of work.

Yup. Gotta be 1930.
While there was people here in 1830 or even 1730 I doubt they were using cement well enough to craft it.
Evidently whoever was using the land then used alot of cement to make stuff. There's some other strange stuff that was made. It almost looked like a horse barn or even a dairy barn. It was crumbling down and was only about half there anymore and we had to tear it down to clear the land. It was cool though because it was made out of cement and crumbling it looked like Stone Henge.
