I spent the day doing some home audio wiring. Actually you know how you do something in a hurry just to get it done and plan on coming back and doing it right later. Well today I decided to do it right. So I spent the day making wire jumpers and nice clean wall outlets and such. It took forever. This is kind of retarded but I have 27 speakers in my casa.

I want to live in your house.

My dad's looking at getting an LCD for our family room, and is putting me up to finding the right one. I'd love to go totally wild with everything, but I don't think my dad would want to spend that much. I was wondering what are some good/bad brands? I've been on crutchfield all day, and am starting to get an idea.

Well we like to listen to music. And I've got the 2 surround sound setups. 7.1 in the theater and a 5.1 in the family room. Then there are 2 pairs on the patios, a pair in the garage, and a few more pairs of in wall or in ceiling speakers throughout the house so that I can't go anywhere in the house without hearing music.

That is awesome!!

When I want to hear music throughout the house I just turn my sony stereo system all the way. People tend to get mad though.

Now as far as TV's go I'm as bad with those as I am with my speakers. I've got the projector, then aMitsubishi 57" DLP 1080p, 47" Toshiba LCD 1080p my room, 46" Vizio LCD 1080p living room, 37" Vizio LCD kids room, 32" Vizio LCD garage, 27" Samsung LCD kids room.

I know, I know, I have a problem.

My question Nathan, is what size are you looking for. And how large is the room, and how far will you be sitting from the TV during regular viewing?

Good night Mark.

I'm thinking something like 42"-52", so probably a 46". I can't tell you how big the room is as I suck at estimating space. Here's some of the one's I was looking at though.

This is the TV I have in my bedroom, or very close to it. I got mine summer of '07, so this is probably this years model and mine was last years model. I was more impressed with the Toshiba's LCD screen than the Samsung. I think it is better myself. Sony's are good, but you pay more of a premium for them. 46" is a good size TV, that or something very close to it is what I have in my living room and it works great. I would go with the Toshiba just because I love mine so much. The other question is source material. Are you on DirectTV? Do you have an HD package from them already? Can you get HD broadcast from you local staitons over antenna?

We'll discuss it more tomorrow Nathan. There is also the question of 120hz and whether you'll need it or even use it under normal viewing. Good night.

I love it how when I get here everyone leaves. :

Ya we have DirectTV, but we're not getting anything in HD right now. I'm not sure about the local stuff. HD confuses me.

It is cool. I am very blesses. But the coolest thing is I did the layout, bought, and installed EVERYTHING myself. I was even in the house pulling 2.5 miles of network, cable, and speaker wire while it was being built. I love this stuff as much as I love my Mustang. Well almost as much.

I have enough copper wire in the house to serve as an antenna to the afterlife, much like the original Ghostbusters movie.

Did anyone watch the new South Park last week. I caught it last night. It's the episode were George Lucas and Steven Spielberg are caught raping Indiana Jones and a Stormtrooper. And Cartman thinks the Chinese are going to invade America so he goes to P.F. Changs to infiltrate them. I know it was a big deal, but I thought it was funny.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I thought it was hillarious. Especially when Butters shot that guy in the nuts and Cartman says thats just wrong and it was hardcore, if you shoot a guy you never shoot him in the d*ck. I couldn't stop laughing, literally.
