Gorgeous!!! Love the ext/int color combo.
The ones I saw that night were either 1985 or 1986. I can't remember what they were going for. I couldn't afford one either since money was tight, we had only one car, a 1986 4-door Toyota Tercel we could barely afford.

Fantastic! It's tempting to feel jealous but I am happy for you!
Beautiful scenery and looks like the perfect place to do some serious shifting gears.

Thanks again. It was fun shifting those gears especially when I can't shift any more due to left knee problems. The '07 GT/CS I just sold to get my '14 GT will turn out to be my last manual tranny car. I'm glad I owned both when I did. Good memories.

New Dark Horse color similar to the '04 Cobra's Mystichrome:

THAT is a gorgeous car!! It might make up for the interior but no, not really. Just imagine a retro interior with no NAV screen. I would take a loan out for something like that.

I can. I have Nav on the Stang but it is not the highlight of the dash. The size of the screen is proportionate and complementary to the interior.
Sometimes simplicity and basics can be very satisfying. Unlocking the door and using the key to start the Tbird instead of using the remote is extremely enjoyable to me. It would be convenient but I refrain to have the Nav even though it is available from the aftermarket, I like my cars to be stock exactly as they leave the assembly line. My alternative is the cell phone or Google Maps.

Granted that's with heavy options, but it looks like even with minor options your well into the $75k range. It's nuts. I love Mustangs but if I had that kind of money to spend I can think of a lot of other cars that would be ahead of the Dark Horse in line.

When you think about it $75k is considered GT500 territory... If I were to spend that kind of money, I'd much rather apply that towards the GT500, Challenger Hellcat/Demon, or even better yet, the C8 Corvette which offers the best bang for the buck performance by comparison IMHO

Yep and from what I'm reading, Ford is switching to a Full Car Network type of wiring which will basically make the car a fully rolling computer that cannot be tuned/modified. It will instead be updated over the air just like your smartphone is today. That way Ford has more control. So I'm guessing it'll be years before any aftermarket companies will be able to make mods for the Dark Horse, which will cut down on a little bit of its early appeal.

I'm looking at getting the Dark Horse edition next year when my Jeep lease is up. Motor Trend has the Dark Horse edition starting at $59,565.
"The formidable Dark Horse, with its 500-hp Coyote V-8, might just be the dark horse of the lineup in terms of overall value. It's mated to a Tremec 6-speed manual and comes with MagneRide Damping standard, and is priced at $59,565."

A Mustang GT that starts at $60k? Wow. Makes me feel like I got a better deal than I thought on my car, as far as base price goes at least.

Definitely! I think we all feel that way. When i needed to sell my 5 speed GT last summer I realized replacing it with a new auto tranny GT convertible would be just too high and really unaffordable after I just bought my R/T 2 years earlier. It had to be used so for half the price of a new GT 'vert I got a '14 with just 8,800 miles on it. I still owe my wife a few grand but it's much better than owing so much more. Yeah, it needed tires to replace the originals still on it, fluid changes, etc... but all set to go for many years I hope.

Agreed! 60k for a base Dark Horse/GT is friggin outrageous... Far better off locating a used S550 with low mileage for far less
