2015 Saleen...

They had a lot of great hits over the years but for me the most great songs per single album was Joshua Tree.
And agreed on the 2015. I had such high hopes for the new Mustang when Ford announced that it would offer IRS on all trim levels. I really like the new interior although to be honest I like the interior in my 2014 just as much. At any rate, one of the bedrock aspects of the Mustang is that it has to be an attractive car and for the most part the 2015 fits that bill. But when it comes to sports cars the appearance of the front end is profoundly important and the front end of this car is just poorly designed. I'm sure the biggest culprit in that factor is Fords ridiculous desire to put their corporate look on the front of every car in the line up. In this case it just cam off poorly and it ruins the look of the car. If Ford would adopt a front end more in keeping with the Saleen model I would be all over it. They could clearly see that the ratio of the headlamps to the grill was poorly done and what they have done is pull the grill opening up, narrow it from top to bottom and widen it from side to side. It now works with the size and shape of the headlamps and gives the front end good symmetry. Whoever authorized the stock front end is a design team failure.

Well, it looks like the Camaro because they wanted to make the Mustang lower and wider...like a Camaro. I think the 2015 design looks terrible. This Saleen looks much better, but as people have said, it does look just like a Camaro. I'll stick with my retro inspired '08 Bullitt.

I like that Saleen brought the 'bumper shelf' back as well as the 10/14 like grille.
IF I bought a 2015, I would change to this front end in a heartbeat.
Need to see the side profile, though.

lol I hope not.
Also I would like to address his original point about S197 owners "bashing" the 2015. For starters it's not bashing the 2015 to say that I don't like the front end of the car. Is there some rule that says I have to like the 2015 just because its new? I also don't like the front end of the 94 to 98 Mustangs. Am I just bashing them for the sake of bashing or could it be that I genuinely prefer the 99 to 04? It's not my fault if Ford put an ugly front end on the 2015 and I'm not going to play "The Emperor's New Clothes" about it just to satisfy the fans of the car. It's got an ugly front end, that's just the way I feel about it. As I already stated I was either going to wait and get the 2015 or get a 2014 and when I saw the car revealed on TV at the around the world reveal sessions I knew I was going to Ford the next day to get a 2014 because I so disliked the front end of the car. Everything else about the 2015 is spectacular in my opinion but the front end is just not attractive at all. Who knows, if Ford finally gets rid of the current front end or quits trying to make everything in the lineup look like a Fusion I might be interested. But with the current design language they can keep it. It's ugly.

I was in the same situation and got a 2014... The 2015 will be a better drivers car, but that's not the whole picture. Not everyone will like the 2015, if you bought one good for you! All that matters is that you like it, if you get upset that not everyone likes it, you'll never be happy

Notice the painted top of the bumper, right under the grille, similar to how Roush adds a decal to that area on current cars?
That's what's causing the bumper to look squished. Saleen has been doing it for years..painting the insides of scoops, valance lips, rear bumpers.
They do this so the car looks more streamline and opens up negative visual areas. However, it's not working with the already compact current design.
Try coloring in the top portion of the bumper and the lower valance and watch what happens.

Those look SO much better and so much more SALEEN. They need to go back to the drawing board, and start with these renders!!!
