Haven't driven this bad boy in many weeks now. Trying to get the garage cleaned out so I have a place for my winter/summer wheel and tire set up. (All depends on how well the G70 does during the winter months first. Then I may buy a dedicated winter and summer set up.)
Between doing that and doing the regular house/lawn stuff,........I'm done. lol
HA HAAAAAA
No,...not yet.
I have to text my buddy that has the 2020 widebody Shelby GT500 Super Snake. He's got two lifts in his garage, A four post and a two post.
It's not like I'm going to have the car forever anyways. "I think I may" want to do a muscle car next or maybe a SN95? Something older that I will have nicely built back to life and nasty. (Plus, no worries about emissions.) We'll see how it goes. I've been thinking about this for a while now. But,........of course, money is an issue. LOL
Change that factory oil and filter yet?
By the way, if you have an engine issue and the dealer sees a 4-year-old filter still on, that's negligence and can be a basis for denying warranty coverage.
Almost 10 years as a Ford Service Advisor, I've seen it all.
The factory-installed filter is usually all white, so they can quickly tell it's never been changed and probably all sludged up.

Warranty on this car is long gone. The car turned 4 years old on July 31st. lol
Tony! Did you take out an extended warranty thru Ford? If you did, the same policies applies...
Not sure how that actually applies to aftermarket modded cars, even if sold thru a dealer. Learned a little about it with the SGT.
Don't know how it is now, but back 7,8,9,10, 11 etc. Ford wasn't going to warranty the engine when it was aftermarket blown with an extra 2-3 hundred HP, just the 3/36 Roush warranty. No offense Tony because I have loved the Roush cars since 07. But just like my SGT, a Roush stage 3, etc, if you run the VIN, it just comes back as a mustang GT as it came off the line, nothing else. Like the s550 Super snake, way over a 100k, 3 years after new run the VIN on trade and it comes back as a mustang GT, worth 30k according to blue book numbers. It's a niche market no doubt.
Things may have changed a lot since back then, but that was one of the reasons I didn't sink anymore money in the SGT to convert it to the SGT/SC because it would always come back as a mustang GT officially.

I did not get the extended warranty.
I don't drive it that much anyways. LOL But seriously, I didn't even think of it and probably will not do an extended warranty.

Good point, Lee! Unless the vehicle is a Shelby GT500 which is manufactured by Ford in house? The OEM warranty only applies to OEM/factory parts...
Okay I Been Stewing on This For a Couple Of Days & I Finally Remembered The Short Simple Answer For This.
Ford as Well as Roush 3/36 Bumper To Bumper is Gone.
However Excluding Any & All Roush Mods or Parts. Anything Left Which Came on the Car is Subject To Original Ford Warranty.
As Long As The Roush Parts Did Not Cause Failure.
So For Example Something In The Roush Blower Comes Apart & Gets sucked into Engine NO COVERAGE
But Say A Valve Spring Snaps & Causes Failure not Caused By a Roush Part. Engine IS COVERED.
Corrosion Perforation 5 Years / Unlimited Miles.
Powertrain 5 Years/ 60,000 Miles Whichever Comes First
Safety Restraint 5/Years 60,000 Whichever Comes First
When I Was at Clevenger Ford We Were a Roush Dealer So I Have Knowledge on this But I Am No SERVICE Expert. Parts is My Strong Area.
That's My Take & I Hope We Don't Have to Find Out For Sure But Certainly You Can Now Consider That You Still Have Warranty in Certain Area's
Any dealer-installed supercharger, same as Roush/Saleen/SuperSnake cars, voids the factory 5/60 powertrain warranty which then gets replaced by a warranty from that other manufacturer.
In the case of this Roush Stage 3, the engine would not be covered anymore if it had a valve spring break, since it's been modified beyond Ford's initial specs for that engine.
Yes, Ford works with vendors such as Roush, Saleen, etc, to have them modify their cars and sell them through Ford's dealerships, but Ford's not stupid, they won't provide warranty coverage on an engine that's been modified to put out 600+ horsepower when their initial design and strength designs have it putting out 450-460 or whatever, much lower than 600+
So yes, Tony's right, the warranty on that engine is gone.
Technically, a Ford dealer MAY still provide warranty coverage on other parts of the powertrain, such as wheel bearings, rear diff, driveshaft, internal trans components, but they could also easily argue that the supercharger and the added power has stressed those components to levels not intended by the initial design and therefore no more coverage can be offered.
Not changed yet. I need to get it done.

GABE
By Tony's Statement It was My Belief He Thought He Had NO WARRANTY PERIOD on the Car After 3/36. For Sure He Still Has Restraint & Corrosion Warranty which I Wanted Him to Be Aware Of.
He Does Need To Get That Filter Changed! I Do Agree 100% On That.
I Think My Earlier Conclusions Were What We Were Doing in the Mid 2000'S and Were Correct Then. May Have Applied To Customer Add On's Only! Maybe So Maybe Not, I Keep Forgetting the 13+ Years Removed From Some Things I Used to Be Up to Speed on.
Now Also Realize Things Will Be Different on a ROUSH BUILT CAR Vs a Car Where The Customer Installed Roush Parts on a Non Roush Car. At The Moment We are Strictly Addressing Tony's Roush Built Car.
Take a Look At the Roush Powertrain Warranty Manual on Page 21 the Point is Moot About FORD Warranty As ROUSH Has a 5/60,000 Coverage.
