Shelby GT350 Pricing! Starting at $47,870

Man, I'd love to own a GT350. It's the car that finally convinced me that the new S550 was indeed a pretty good looking Mustang. And the MSRP (without the dreaded ADM) could put it much closer to the range of my wallet's limit than a 2014 GT500.
But I'm totally enamoured with driving a ragtop and it'd be too traumatic to give that up. Moot point though....it'd have to be a couple of model years down the road before I'd give a Shelby some serious thought.

I can't decide between Base and Track Pack. They will look nearly identical, but TP costs so much extra
I'm leaning Base because of price. I'll likely never utilize MagnaRide to its capabilities, nor the additional cooling systems, but I do much prefer the taller spoiler and the in-dash gauges. It seems silly to spend $6,500 on a spoiler and gauges... but down the road the TP equipped car should be more sought-after than the base model, right?

crème de la crème of the Mustang food chain and a GT350 price turned me off, a used Boss or Shelby are nothing to be ashamed of....those cars are every bit as serious in my opinion.

I'm getting a base GT350 at $800 below MSRP. I too think the packages are too expensive for my taste. I was hoping to get nav as a stand alone option, but looks like that's not gonna happen with this year's MY.
Base will suit me just fine as this car will just be a W-E driver and stored 5 months a year.

Where do I begin
1) It's still an SVT dealership only car, along with the Raptor. Yet ST's are sold at every Ford dealership
2) The Price. Just over 64,000+tax Canadian. $72k+ taxes in. for the BASE car. $20,000 over the base price of a Premium GT coupe. And the tech package is over 9k.
Just to compare, across the model lineup. The US/CAN prices per the same cars are around average $4,000 for the base vehicle. I would have liked to see the GT350 come in around 52-54k if that was the case.
Our dollar is crap at this point, but still...we absolutely get hosed.

On the bright side, the super high MSRP of the new model should keep the value of my Boss higher than if the new MSRP was significantly lower. It sure eliminates any temptation to trade in the Boss.

My local dealership is looking like they want ADM; I reached out and they "aren't accepting deposits/special orders," and it "will be first come first serve"
I was looking to be one of those people who trades in the boss for this...
