2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R

Has anyone received pricing for the 350R? A dealer I've been talking to since the spy images were put online is now all the sudden taking bids on the premium starting at...$30,000! That's $30k over msrp minimum starting bid. And to top it off it's a blind bid. Would like to know what others have been told. Originally they were going to go down the list of buyers from time of calling...now it's gone to a blind bidding war.

most of the dealers I've talked to are also saying $30,000. over MSRP is where they are going to start at which is just crazy but I'm sure people will pay it the same thing happened when the GT500s came out in '07 they were going for $120,000. and by '09 they were going for $40,000. I bought a new '08 GT500 in '08 for $38,000. (a good deal) so I'd just wait for a deal

I'm just concerned there won't be any 50th anniversary 350R's for sale in the near future. $30k over msrp for the 350R is making me worried about what they'll ask when the Ford GT comes out next year...

stopped in a local dealer and he said he has two cars coming and the first is sold for $40K over MSRP to some one and they are asking the same for the second one, then they tired to sell me a 50th anniversary for $10K over when i know for a fact i can get one for msrp if not less, be patient, the price will come down, the market for $90K-$100K mustangs isn that big. a great car at $55K for sure but don't get caught up in the hype

Yeah,...that's crazy mark-up.
This should be a great track/auto-x car. With no radio and A/C, the weight savings should help. Just like the Z28. I do believe those are optional on the Z28. Are they optional on the GT350R as well?
I wonder how people will buy one as a daily driver?

I highly doubt you'll see many being bought as daily driver's Tony.. IMHO I think most are going to end up as collector/trailer queens and some as track cars
