Any ideas what will the 50th Anniversary be?

Definitely the new S-550, wouldn't waste such a momentous event on an outgoing decade-old platform.
I guess the next question is, will the 50th be simply a typical skin-deep stripe, sticker and spoiler primp job or something actually more substantive?

I don't think it will be more than a Color Combo/Sticker/Stripe Package.

It would be nice if it came with unique wheels and a special color. It could be a color that Ford already uses, just not on the Mustang. I'm thinking Tuxedo Black (which is a metallic) would look really nice on this body.

I think it would be a nice fit
Or at least put like 3 of the original colorways (best selling colors) and make a limited run. With special interior bits as well and maybe a nice exterior package that would add on a lil chrome here and there

I'm sure car buffs can answer this, maybe it's because it's already used elsewhere in their color codes, but why not match the color code closer to the color name:
Competition Orange: CO
Triple Yellow: TY
Wimbledon White: WW
etc etc. I know some like Guard only have 1 name, could still be GD, etc

I would prefer a Halo (Mach, GT350/500 or Boss) in limited numbers, but Ford will make a Lipstick version, from one of the Base models, so everyone can feel like they have something special.
It's all about the money + the opportunity to cash in on the 50th anniversary, so, they need to have a model that the masses can afford.

This has been discussed and answered several times. The 2014MY cars have no indication of any sort of special model, and will cease production soon. The 2015 car has been touted as the 50th anniversary car, but no details have been released yet. No reason to start another thread about the same topic.
