I would be VERY VERY surprised if Ford put the entire Mustang line on the vehicle exclusion list for Plan sales. Think about it this way. If they won't sell them X-Plan, then they have to not be able to sell them A/Z or D Plan either. That would be a SERIOUS problem for any Ford employee who wants one.

I wouldn't think too much about X-Plan not being available. Its not a Shelby or Boss, so I'm going with my gut feeling and say it should be available. And yes, you could go into a dealer, order a car, and give them your X-Plan PIN number and order a car. That's how it works. Any questions, let me know buddy.

Hey Jon, congrats on getting 1st dibs. I don't know what details your dealer will be going over, as the order guides for the car are not available as of yet and I don't expect them to be available for a little bit yet. For the Anniversary car, only two things your dealer needs to know, color and transmission. Good luck with your order.

Very cool. When my father saw it in Charlotte I spoke to the dealer I'm close with and he's getting one of their allocations in white. It was love at first sight for him. Here is a pic of him with it in the winners circle on Thursday. They ended up moving it for the rest of the show to a turntable and people could no longer get close to it.

This is what I found out about allocation of the 50th.

Limited Edition cars will be among the first built when 2015 Mustang production begins later this year. Bill Ford said the company hasn’t yet decided how to allocate them, or what the price will be

From here:http://detroit.cbslocal.com/2014/04/...d-for-mustang/

Article is from April 17 2014 6:23 AM. Not sure anyone can say they have an allocation at this point.

I will be looking for the 50th in Kona Blue!

Dealers have been informed if they're getting any. The dealer I do business with has been allocated four.

There are 1,964 cars & 3,200 or so dealers. One dealer is getting 4 allocations? Sounds a little odd! Wanting to get my hands on a 50th in KBM auto!

Not at all. When they allocated the BOSS, it was based on past performance of Mustangs sold. Some dealers got several and others zero.

That's exactly the way the 50th Anniversary edition is being handled.

Good pic!

Cool to see it in that perspective. Looks much more sporting! I really like this new car and love the anniversary edition.

Hey Mike, I spoke with my rep and the 50th Anniversary model allocation is based solely on lottery. Nothing has to do with Mustang sales. And sadly, I didn't get one.

I spoke with 10 different small town dealers today. They all told me the exact same thing:
1. We don't know if we have an allocation yet. (bs?)
2. If we DO get an allocation we will not sell it at X-Plan.
3. If we do get an allocation we will likely sell it at higher than retail. (ADM)
Guess I'm screwed but I'll keep trying. I told every one of them I have an xplan pin and would be willing to order the day the order banks open. The limited run of 1,964 cars is making dealers see $'s dancing in their head.*

>420hp and >390lb/ft

For has only said greater than. They are being very secretive still about HP/ TQ and weight. Some publications are lazy and drop the > or don't emphasize it enough so that a lot of people think its just 420/390. Many are saying since it is using Boss parts they expect at least 445 hp.
