I must say Ford really is going to have a really nice looking anniversary addition Mustang for all of us. I think the Kona Blue is going to be outstanding. I am really pleased the center of the dash will have gauges on the special edition 5.0 Mustang. An automatic version with the performance pack will be awsum. I am wondering if the 50th anniversary emblem will be personalized to have the buyers name engraved on it . That would be cool.

Too bad I'm not ready to buy. This is a great looking car! With only 1964 being made, it will be difficult to catch one. Bummer

I didn't care for it in the spy shots but its grown on me and the fit and finish especially interior look incredibly well done. The tastefully subtle chrome is integrated and works well too, and even the corralled pony and faux gas gap, two pieces I generally don't like on the late model seems to work decently....Maybe its the professional shots but I think this is well done and will be a neat limited model run. Cool that they are offering in Kona blue too.

Not here!!! I actually have a list I started months ago. Putting people down who would like to order a new Mustang. the 1st two people on my list are friends of mine from the local clubs (I'm not in any clubs anymore, LOOONG story), who I sold previous cars to. The 2nd person on the list, she wants THIS CAR!! And she's a MCA member, so she gets X-Plan. This isn't a Shelby, or Boss or anything special in terms of not being eligible for X-Plan. Its still a Mustang, albeit a limited produced car, but still a GT. And with that, as long as I can get one, I'm selling it to her for X-Plan (as long as Ford doesn't put it on the exclusions list).

This is the only way to get the Performance Package with the auto? Lame. Hopefully the Torsen (or a Traction-Lok) will be available through FRPP (along with a re-calibration that turns off the e-diff).

Anyway, it would seem Ford has joined the rest of the industry in going with model year anniversaries for the Mustang, rather than calendar year anniversaries, as they've done previously.

Getting one of these will be a difficult task, indeed. But I'm sure it won't be long before a lot of detail items will be available in the aftermarket. Faux gas cap, louvered glass, tail lights, pony corral grille, etc.

I like the rear badge a lot

the chrome over the quarter glass sure dont line up well for a show car...I dont understand the glass there, looks like a bonded 2 piece thing? see its got a DOT/carlite marking on it, just wonder how its put together... sure havent seen a two piece glass 'anything' on a car in years that I can think of.

the car is nicely done up- the Bill Ford signature to me is a bit much...yes, its his company, so whatever - just doesnt carry quite the historical performance ford status of a Jack Roush or Carroll Shelby type IMHO

I agree. The so-called 1964.5 models were '65 models built during the '64 production cycle. The 50th Anniversary cars will be built during the regular '15 production cycle, therefore they will not be "early builds."

at least if the 50th is a 2014.5, it doesnt totally blow the past schedules...my 09 wears 45th badges, would seem odd to wait 6 model years for a 50th- so I guess this fixes that
