My wife was out at a Ford dealer getting our 2016 GT serviced. We have the performance package and our Brembo's have red covers. Are the brakes on the 2017 the same....and these yellow ones are just different covers? Sorry I'm not up on the tech side..

They are just painted a different color compared to the standard Brembo calipers.

The standard GT 4-piston calipers are made by Akebono, not Brembo, not Ford. Akebono is a very good company, just not as popular as Brembo or other more-known companies. They make aftermarket stuff as well as OEM many "standard" systems for multiple manufacturers.

 

My stock Brembos are black. If you have red covers, I don't think those are Brembos.
