2016 wont shift out of park after disconnecting battery

My 2016 v6 mustang wont shift out of park after I disconnected my battery and reconnected it. I was going to do a stereo install so I disconnected the ground. After realizing I didn't have the correct tools to get the dash apart I re connected the battery within 15min. The car started fine and I went to back it out of the garage and it wont get out of park. I tried the parking break, etc nothing worked. I looked at the fuse and it looked good. I checked the wires going to the break peddle and those looked fine. Not sure what it could be? The brake lights work when the car isn't on but when I turn the car on, brake lights dont work and wont get out of park. Might have to have it towed to the dealer in the morning if there is no fix. It is a 2016 V6 automatic. Is there something I am supposed to do after I disconnect the battery and reconnect that would cause it not to get out of park? Hope someone might have an idea what it is. Thanks!

What does the owner manual say? Isn't there a way to unlock gearshift with fob key under cup holder?
